Yes is was offically run this year, The Beast of Durham, a 50 mile route around the hills & valleys of Co Durham. Riders set off at 9.00am from Sniperley Park & Ride to take on the challenge. Not sure what most riders were expecting but I think some should have worn walking boots to get themselves up the hills ! There was a strongish headwind most of the way back in to just to sap the last of your energy.
