Yes the race is on at Hetton today, forecast is looking good with the temperature hitting 19 degrees so will be hot and sweaty on the climbs (see pic to the left for one of them). Hetton is dry and no mud so will be fast again under tyre. Come along and enjoy the days event. Also good luck to the riders who were lucky (or should that be unlucky!) who got a number for the 3 Peaks should be alittle breezy on the tops !!

This Sunday is the One peak of Hetton Event – will be a great days racing. Spot prizes on the days and goodies for all the kids. Neccl Winter Series Rd 2 Info is now in the EVENTS INFO Section. MBE AUTUMN SERIES 2012  is now sorted, poster in the Autumn Section. Also a new FOR SALE Section has been added to the web for everyone to use for free.

One Peak of Hetton Sun 25th Sept 2011. The three seperate courses have been planned ready for the day. The main course includes new sections and some climbs that have not been used since the TLI NAT CHMAPS were held at Hetton. Course lengnth is just over 1.50miles and 184ft climbing per lap. Well thats the first of eight rounds completed @ Hetton Lyons Country Park on a dry and breezy Sunday. Hetton again very fast under tyre and easy going apart from the climbs! Great course & event, many thanks to Ian and his helpers on the day. Race Report, Photos and Results are all done and uploaded. Next up is the ONE PEAK OF HETTON on Sun 25th Sept 2011. The grand final was concluded @ Hetton Lyons Country Park on yet another dry but more windy evening. With 64 riders tackling the last round fighting for points and to finish the AUTUMN SERIES. Presentations followed the three seperate races and all riders who completed the League got a goodie bag. Overall winners were Adam Martin, Matthew Worton & Paul Errington. NECCL WINTER SERIES RD 1 @ Hetton Lyons Sun 11th Sept 2011. Ian will be setting out a course of mixed terrain and full details are in the EVENTS INFO SECTION.

NECCL WINTER SERIES 2011-12 Sun 11th SEPT RD 1@ HETTON LYONS COUNTRY PARK, Ian has swapped with Tonys Round because Whickham is getting all the outdoor adventure equpiment replaced that weekend.

Well what a turn out just before the start of the Winter Season with 70 riders descending on Hetton. Again great evenings racing for all age cat’s. Results, photos etc are as usual in the relevant sections. Rd 4 Final is on Wed 7th Sept 2011,. The Series Presentation will follow straight after main race has finished. The course will be as Rd 3 but in opposite direction with alittle extra added in !

Busy weekend coming up -6th & 7th of Cycling Events in the NE, 1:2:1 @ Hamsterley Forest, Richmond Preimer Road Race, Hell of the North from Darlington & the Durham Big Rides. Also further up North is the Beast fo all BEASTS Kielder 100 – now that is just a mental event for pure nutters !!

The course has been planned and less climbing this week but more technical and singletrack. Please leave plenty time for travelling and get signed on. Signing on will be closing at 6.50pm. There was plenty of riders turned out for Rd 2 race around Hetton Lyons Country Park. There was many battles going on in all three races. The heavy rain shower just softened up the course to take out the bumps but by the end of the main race the sun was back out again. Results, photos & race report are all done and in the relevant sections. Rd 3 on Wed 31st Aug, there will be a new course set out to test and hone riders skills & fitness.

Well the first round was a good blast out with a good turnout of 49 riders on the night. Same course as Rd1 but in the opposite direction but with a few tweaks.
